Does this not surprise anybody? He tells the homos that he supports them during the campaign to get their vote. He gets elected and then doesn't do anything for homos when he is elected. The homos get mad at him and then he makes a speech to assure them that he supports them.

Pardon my not being politically correct. I'm sure some people would take offense at my use of the word "homo" instead of "gay". I've always felt that the word "gay" was totally destroyed by the homosexuals. "Gay" used to mean happy. No longer.

While I'm on the subject: From my posting I'm sure many people would call me a "homophobe". To homos this means anyone that doesn't agree with their lifestyle. To be technically correct, a "phobia" is a fear of something. I am not afraid of homos and don't label me as afraid of homos just because I don't agree with their lifestyle. It is a deviant lifestyle and morally wrong. Nuff said..

F1: Crisis Lingers As Insults Fly

F1: Crisis Lingers As Insults Fly

OMG?
Is this the end of F1 as we know it (again)?
Hopefully they will figure this out, but if all the major teams go to FOTA, then who will support F1?

The Eeyore Syndrome - Dad Haz It

Dad has the "Eeyore Syndrome" today.
Me Emo, and not the "Tickle-Me Emo" type of Emo. Just Emo, cuz if you tried to tickle me to cheer me up I might hafta punch someone. My hopelessness could turn to rage especially if I hear about another bone-headed plan by Obama and his minions in congress.
No listening to the news for me today cuz I might just snap!

There is no hope for the future. All is lost.
Meh...

Granny settles in... sort of.

So, Granny is settling in to her new place except she keeps thinking of crap she left at the house and she is always asking me when I'm going to bring it over.
Also, she had some meds to pick up from Kroger and she called my cell phone four (4) times (yes, count them: 4) wondering when I was coming over to take her to Kroger.
(Message 1: "This is me. I was calling to see if you were going to take me to get my medicine tonight. Thanks.)
(Message 2: "It's me again. I need to get my medicine. )
(Message 3: "I really need my medicine. Come over and take me to Kroger) (Message 4: silence...)

Yes, brave reader, we did make it to Kroger and her meds are safely in hand! Along the way she remembered all sorts of stuff she needed like cleaners, cereals, bread, butt wipe, paper towels, etc...
Yes, I also am painfully aware that it is a Sunday and I might burn in hell for taking her shopping at Kroger. To me, however, the ox was in the proverbial ditch and it gets her off my back for the rest of the day. Maybe the Lord will look kindly on me for helping a poor old lady.

All is well for the moment. There is still the case of the expiring auto insurance left to solve. Insurance premiums, auto payment from a checking account, massive amounts of money that would bankrupt an old lady and leave her penniless, that kind of thing. That, however, if for another post.

The sun is quite brutal today and somehow I think, despite Granny's negativity, the sun will continue to be quite brutal tomorrow, and the next day, and the next day, etc...

Until then... BLOG ON!

Sammy, This Blog's For You!

Sammy,
This blog is for you kid!
You are trying so hard to get your life together. Great! I realize that what I wrote way back when and how I feel now are different. I would like nothing more than for you to be happy on this earth. That's it.
If you want the same things that I mentioned in an earlier blog then it would be good for you. However, it has to be what you want and it has to come from the heart.
Granny told me one day in a drunken stupor that I was responsible for my Dad's death because I joined the Church. I carried that around for years and then I finally figured out that:
1. Granny was drunk.
2. Granny is insane anyway.
3. What Dad did was his decision, not mine.
I think that Dad would have much rather found out that I was a homo than to find out I joined the Church. That's how badly he hated the church he was once a member of.
My point: Do it if it makes you happy and don't worry about your old man. I can tell you what works for me.

So, Sammy my Sailor: your goals mentioned in your email are all very worthy. I commend you. However, most of all I just want you to find lasting happiness and quite honestly I don't know of a better way.

BTW: If you want to find out about a Church, do not get your information from an ex-member. They always have an ax to grind.
Also, beware of any book that says it was written to save the souls of the aforementioned religion. It isn't. It's only meant to tear it down.

Developing talents

I think that I should like to develop a talent to be able to play piano. I would like to be good enough so that I could go through the Church Hymn book and play pretty much any song that I turn to.
My ulterior motive? To have a sweet calling in Church doing something that I like but takes little effort on my part because I'm a stinking slacker!
However, think of it: play during sacrament and maybe for the occasional baptism. Then go home and eat fried chicken! Sweet!

Granny is in her new place

Granny was moved into her own place this morning with the help of two missionaries (Elders Brown and Folker), Trevor Johnson, Robert Meyers, Donovan Smith and their friend Donovan. Thanks to all these guys for helping me out!
Granny's stuff was moved in and now she has plenty of stuff to do pulling it out of boxes and putting it in place. Pictures later, probably, if I think about it and I'm not too lazy/inconvenienced.

Later, took Granny to the store to get groceries. She is in pretty good shape right now.

I was so wiped out after all that work that I slept for about 4 or 5 hours. I'm very relieved however. Now I can have my wife and kids back!

A New Navy/Marine Corps Medal

Sammy sent this and I thought it was great! Turns out at least one Marine on the ship turned up with Swine Flu. Bad thing on a ship. In response, this medal was created for the members of the USS Bataan (LHD5) for their service in the face of Swine Flu:

Shoutout - Sun VirtualBox

A shoutout to Sun Microsystems and their "VirtualBox" product.
Virtual machines, gotta love it.
Here is why I like it:
  • Solid man! Stone-cold solid!
  • Dynamic storage - uses only the amount you need, up to the amount you specify. Take that VMPlayer!
  • They have a lot of different versions for various operating systems. No need to compile! Just download, install and run!
  • The best part... It's FREE! (well you have to give Sun some information about yourself so that they can send you email and call you for the rest of your life. Hey, you didn't have to shell out of your credit card for it..)
Get it, live it, love it!
Click here now to find out how!

**Note** I am not being paid by Sun to do this. I just like it a lot! No lab monkeys were injured in the posting of this blog or in the using of this software.

The Legend of Sammy - Suez Canal

June 25. Another postcard from the briny blue:

Oatmeal - Musings On The Same

I like oatmeal.
Others around me at work say that they can't stand oatmeal. Either it's too gooey or sticky, bland or whatever, but so help me God I like, dare I say love, Oatmeal.
I like oatmeal without too much water in it. Lumpy is good too, but it has to be sweet. I think that cinnamon and brown sugar has the best taste for oatmeal. Sort of like cinnamon toast or a cinnamon roll. Just plain oatmeal is my least favorite. It needs to have some flavor.
So what does this have to do with anything? I have no stinking idea. It just came into my head and I began writing about it.
Here's to oatmeal! For whatever reason, it preoccupied my thoughts for some time and I decided to write about it rather than just keeping it in my head, letting it pass and then forgetting about it like some fleeting thought about what you eat for breakfast.

I think I'll get some oatmeal now.

Funny Words Part II

More funny words to contemplate:
  • pants - it's just funny to me.
  • doily - the sound, what it is, just funny.

That's all I can think of today...

The King is Dead! Long Live the King! Farrah and Iran too.

I was shocked to hear that Michael Jackson died yesterday. I was just getting into my car to go home from work when I heard that Michael was taken to the emergency room in LA for cardiac arrest. This is never good and I was thinking that he would never make it. Turns out that he probably never would have made it. Some sort of coma thing.

Today the news is all about Michael. Probably understandable since he was so famous and did all sorts of wacky things during his lifetime. The passing of Farrah Fawcett was mentioned, but trumped big time by Michael Jackson.

Even less was mentioned about the amount of people being killed in Iran for protesting against that crazy government and it's sawed off runt of a president. Why, if you think about it, even this blog talks more about Michael Jackson than Farrah or Iran.

Ironic ain't it?

More catchup

Wow! I haven't done anything since last year. I have some ideas and things I want to write about.
Here we go again.
